If you’re reading this blog/post there’s a good chance you’re a unique kind of individual.

What I mean by that is there’s a probability that you’re an entrepreneur or an out of the box thinker. (I’d love to hear your voice on this so comment after the post)

The world as we know it, if you’ve been here 30 years or so, is changing. Communication is changing. Advertising is changing. Entertainment is changing.

Remember when you could walk in a Blockbuster store and get a VHS tape?

Yes those days are long gone, even thought it wasn’t that long ago. You’re even starting to see Blue Ray disks take out conventional DVD’s now. (I have to admit they are impressive, I saw one on my friends 60″ HD TV, amazing)

What does this have to do with wealth & self improvement?
.
Everything.
.
Industry’s and Companies are evolving constantly, are you? If you don’t acknowledge this fact as well as communicate it to your prospects, customers and your own organization, you along with them will be asking, “what just happened?”
.
You see I have considered myself as a kind of bridge in my network marketing business over the past 8 years. A bridge in the sense that I have helped bridge that gap of what’s possible in my prospects minds then the result is money into their bank account.
.
I’m an advocate of change, and that’s not a very easy bridge for a lot of people to cross. (Myself included at times)
.
I do of course realize that I’m running a business and I’m looking for those that are looking for me. Those who have a burning desire, who are coachable & teachable. Those who say they are looking for a bridge to cross from mediocrity to excellence.

Some people choose to just stare at the bridge. Some not get on the bridge, some people choose to stop half way across the bridge and a few people actually do cross the bridge.

There’s obviously more to it however it’s a one dimensional way of looking at my role over the past 8 years.

Social Media’s Role In Personal Development & Wealth

So reaching more people, bridging that gap and creating more success is what you’re after?

Social Media is one obviously fantastic way to reach more people with your message. I look at myself as this bridge and realize that of course personal development is the foundation of my bridge.

Social media represents the electric rails (Like at Disney World) of my new bridge allowing me to get my prospects across that bridge faster and more efficiently.

Of course we all want a solid foundation when building a bridge

I have been studying as well as slowly implementing social media into my every day life over the past 2 years. (You can subscribe to my Friend Feed account over to the right as well as Twitter) Yes, practicing good manners online as well as off.

But first I had to even be open to the idea of social media and more importantly take action towards utilizing it, no matter if I had no idea what I was doing in the beginning. This is where personal development comes in.

I picked social media because it’s a good catalyst to show change and how it’s happening right in front of your eyes. Just like I can look back on VCR’s and how they seemed to be booted out over night by DVD players.

This is what self improvement has meant to me. Social media is another evolution to human communication like the DVD was to the VHS tape. Ignore it and be left behind. Pay attention, take action and capitalize on the trend.
