Successful people realize that failing is not only going to happen, it’s to be expected if you plan on growing and becoming more successful.

As pretty as the picture and the definition above are though, on the other hand failing because you failed to adhere to maintain integrity is never easy nor pretty. This is a failure of all failures.

If you’ve had any kind of success in your life, (Not just financially) you probably already know that it came at the expense of some failure. You did your best and for whatever reason you still didn’t have the right information, contacts, skill etc…

Your goal was in sight and with persistence planning and focus you were able to overcome whatever challenges got in your way. As John Maxwell stated, you “failed forward.”

You can sacrifice many things in the persuit of your wealth creation that helps you obtain your desires & dreams. You can sacrifice going to the movies on weekends, eating out dinner and even TV or spending time doing hobbies.

But there is one thing you can’t sacrifice.

Integrity As A Foundation Of Wealth Building

The one thing you don’t want to sacrifice is your integrity. That’s where you fall by failing to make right choices based on morals & values. It’s a deep wound that internally can sway even the most focused of navigators who are in the pursuit of creating wealth in their life.

Your character is built on it integrity and your integrity is built on your morals.

Sacrificing your integrity is probably the hardest and farthest you will ever fall. It can also be the hardest failure to get back up from.

I know, I’ve done it. There is no gray area when it comes to integrity.

The truth always finds it’s way to the top and at times you have to be prepared to pay the price. Or you pay the price of living out your life with it on your mind. Whether your aware of it or not it plays out in your life and every decision you make. Even if you think it doesn’t.

The Cost of Living With Out Integrity

The price of living with out integrity can and always will be paid in one way or another. The cost of not making good on your emotional debts will depend on just how quickly you decide to pay up.

Ultimately the results of living with out integrity manifest themselves in ways that start inside you and even though they may seem small they show up big in your world.

Lies told to the inside manifest themselves on the outside through failed love relationships, friendships & your business.

Failed finances are only a given. Even if you do create wealth, you lose it.

Lies no matter how small lead to more lies and compound into energy that takes away from authentic living and wealth.

Rules of Integrity Recovery

In Julia Cameron’s “The Artists Way,” week 4 of her book consists of recovering your integrity. I suggest it if you feel you’re out of sync with your integrity. It’s a great chapter for realigning yourself with your true self and your integrity. The old saying, “honesty is your best policy,” holds so much truth and freedom.

Get honest with yourself and be honest with those around you. Even if it hurts them in the moment. At least the healing can begin for both parties rather than burying negative emotions and resentments.

Also in Don Miguel Ruiz’s The Four Agreements the definition of Integrity lends itself to emotional integrity. A definition that I hold close to my heart now and of which lends to anchor myself in my daily thoughts and actions from today forth.

Living with out judgment of yourself is so much easier when you don’t resent yourself for living with out integrity.
