What Is Holding You Back
.
Well the new year is here!
I can’t tell you how excited I am about what’s in store for 2009! I apologize that I haven’t been posting so much because of the holidays however it was really due to my laptop being stubborn. I just got it fixed today thank goodness.
I’m truly addicted to sharing value with you every day and at this point as Tony Robbins says after 6 months of doing something it’s just a part of you. Well blogging and sharing a new way of wealth with you has become a serious habit!
Yup I’m addicted!
Was it hard in the beginning to set up and do? A big YES! I still pray you don’t go back to some of my very first posts on here and see some of the stuff I was attempting to do lol.
You see I had blogged for nearly 2 years on another free blogging platform and I finally made up my mind to blog on a self hosted site. That means I own it.
More work? Of course. More responsibility? You betcha. More flexibility? Yup, that too. My own asset that I now own and can provide tons of value with and create revenue at the same time? Priceless!
I put off doing my own blog that I own for soooo long. Why? because I was scared! Yup. Quite frankly I was.
I experienced the same thing that many people experience. The fear of the unknown.
Really it was the fear of responsibility if I really put thought to it.
One thing changed my perception though and it inspired me to take the plunge. Crazy thing is, I wasn’t even aware of what it was that pushed me forward until today.
What Inspires Your Change
.
I’ve been immersed in personal development programs over the past few days. I’ve been listening to a lot of Tony Robbins “The Edge” and he hit me between the eyes. He jolted me awake like a train hitting a parked car. I figured out why I made the unconscious decision to move forward with this blog.
Here it is:
Tony said, “if you talk it, it’s a dream. If you envision it, it’s possible and if you schedule it, it’s real.”
Man read that again.
For real.
Read it again.
I overcome my fear by stopping the talk about how much I hated not owning my own blog, to then picturing my out come if I actually did, to actually planning it out and doing it!
The planning of it took away my fear and worry so that I could focus on my desired outcome. Seriously I had no idea how to set up hosting, set up a word press blog, or how to upload files, create web pages etc…seriously it was all greek to me.
My desired outcome was more important to me than the fear of not doing it though.
What was my desired outcome?
To give back to you & contribute.
To share with you what has helped me overcome my fears, worries & regrets. What has allowed me to peel away the layers of crap that the world has attempted to paste all over my mind set.
I do encourage you to think for yourself though. I’m not a mental health professional nor do I play one on TV. However I believe there are some universal principles we all can share to create a wealthy and healthy life style.
I just heard from Steven Covey, an amazingly true statement:
“The great identity theft is not someone getting your wallet and using your cards. It’s the cultural DNA of a comparison based approach, that robs people of their true identity.“
How many times have you had someone tell you, you can’t do that, you don’t have any idea what it takes to start a home business, start a blog or do something that separates you from the pack!
It’s those little voices in your head that tell you not to attempt to do something you’ve never done. Those little voices come from years of being around those broke people who were afraid of taking a risk!
Stop comparing yourself to anyone and step out into your greatness!
Steve Pavlina said it best when he mentioned that 533,000 people were laid off in November of 2008. Maybe now they will risk starting a home business.

Stepping Into Change
.
So will you move forward because you’re afraid of the pain of being broke and no income…or will you move forward because of the reward of gaining your freedom and answering to no one?
Either way you must do something right now to separate yourself from the herd of people who are clinging on to their box life awareness.
Every day I hear from people who say they are sick and tired of being sick and tired but do nothing about it.
I don’t mind taking direction but I certainly don’t like answering to a boss. Call me thick headed I suppose.
I feel as if I contribute a lot more value in this manner than I ever could working a 9 to 5. I don’t want to feel as if I have to do something, I want to do it.
I’ve done the 9 to 5 thing and quite frankly, it may be noble and necessary but it’s not mandatory! Oh and it’s certainly only temporary if you choose.
As I quote from Tony again:
“Expand your model of the world. Don’t look to TV for your model. It’s too negative. They want your attention & what gets your attention easiest is negative!“
Expand your thoughts through reading, listening and your associations. Touch someones life with your new found energy & wealth.
I texted a friend of mine out of the blue today just to tell her she was awesome. She texted back “thanks” and asked what did she do to deserver that?
My reply?
“You did nothing! You don’t have to do anything to be awesome. You simply already ARE.” I just felt compelled to remind her!
Guess what?
You’re awesome too. Amazing even!
You don’t have to do anything to become it, you just have to be reminded that you already are.
The only thing holding you back is about 6 inches.
That’s right, the 6 inches of space between your ears is all that is holding you back right now from breaking out into a whole new way of wealth this year.
To grow and contribute are the needs of your spirit and involves living with change. Looking at it this way makes change so much easier and more fun to embrace don’t you think?
